- This section provides interactive educational tools for use in the classroom or in executive training. These modules focus on multiple areas pertinent to international business and most modules include cases or anecdotes, a glossary of terms, quiz questions, and a list of references where applicable. A comprehensive module quiz is available for professors.
- Course Syllabi
- This section provides syllabi for international business related courses from a number of universities to aid professors or teaching assistants in developing class materials.
- Language Guides
- This section provides international business professionals guides dealing with typical business situations in foreign languages. All sites focus on business and offer various tools for learning.
- Textbook Publishers
- This section provides information about publishers that specialize in providing textbooks for higher education courses. Only publishers that feature books with significant international emphasis are eligible for inclusion.
- Video Depositories
- This section provides information about websites that feature video or multimedia content with an international focus. Two kinds of sites can be found in this section: companies that distribute videos in physical format (VHS, DVD or CD-ROM) and companies that provide streaming audio/video content through their websites.
- Case Depositories
- This section provides information about publishers or depositories of cases. Some of the sites may only list cases published by that institution, while others act as clearinghouses and feature cases from a wide variety of sources.
- Exercises & Simulations
- This section provides information about interactive exercises, games and simulations created to enrich the classroom experience. Each listing is also accompanied by the format of the exercise or simulation; software, web-based, role-playing, or other. The exercise needs to have a substantial international component to qualify for inclusion The listings are sorted alphabetically by publishing company.
- Plagiarism
- This section provides information about plagiarism today. The sites contain tools and information to prevent plagiarism. The information is intended to assist students, teachers, and parents in defining what plagiarism is, how it can be avoided, and how it can be detected.
- Conferences
- This section provides information about announcements and call for papers for academic conferences of interest to the international business community. The conference should have a distinct international or cross-cultural theme, or a track dedicated for such topics to be eligible for inclusion. Each listing includes the conference title, sponsoring organization, date and location of the conference, the deadline for submissions, and links to the conference website and call for papers announcement, if available. The listings are sorted by the start date for each conference.
- Call for Papers
- This section provides information about calls for papers for contributions to journals (special issues), book projects, monographs, and book chapters of interest to the international business community. Each listing includes the title, publication, editor information, and the deadline for submissions as well as a link for more detailed information. The listings are sorted by submission deadline.
- Grant Opportunities
- This section provides information about grant opportunities available to the international business community through a variety of sources, including government agencies and international organizations such as Fulbright.
- Academic Publishers
- This section provides information about publishers that feature books focusing on presenting the state-of-the-art knowledge in academic and scientific research. Only publishers that feature books with significant emphasis in international or cross-cultural topics are eligible for inclusion.
- Paper Depositories
- This section provides information about sites that feature a collection of research manuscripts or working papers. Some of these are limited to a specific topic or region (the Asian Economic Crisis); others provide only papers published by an organization (IMF) or a single individual, while yet others may be much wider in scope (EconWPA). The paper depository needs to feature a significant amount of research that has distinct international or cross-cultural focus in order to qualify for inclusion.
- Journals
- This section provides information on top journals in a variety of fields of interest. For each academic function, we provide a selection of top general journals as well as a selection of journals that focus on international topics within that field. Each listing includes a description of the journal's primary focus, a link to the journal's home page, and a separate link to the style guide of the journal, if available.
- Professional Organizations
- This section provides information about leading academic or research oriented professional organizations around the world. Examples include the Decision Sciences Institute and the Academy of International Business.
- Mailing Lists
- This section provides information about a variety of e-mail lists of interest to the academic community. Some of these lists bring together academics in a specific field, while others aim to bring together professionals and academics to discuss issues of interest. Yet others act as announcement lists for business news or academic announcements.
- globalEDGE Job Bank
- This section contains numerous academic employment opportunities, with a listing of available positions at institutions around the world. Several domestic and international universities notify globalEDGE of job openings that they have within the field of International Business. In turn, globalEDGE posts openings in the globalEDGE Job Bank.
- Job Posting Sites
- This section contains links that offer academic job postings, geared toward both domestic and international higher education positions. Opportunities within business schools as well as other university employment can be found through the many websites contained within this section.
- Career Advice
- This section contains sites that provide career guidance, for academics. Topics include the tenure process, effective methods of publishing good articles, constructive methods of conducting an interview, resume tips, etc. The advice provided in these links is from an academic perspective and address many issues specifically encountered within this field.
- University HR Sites
- Provides a list of links to human resource departments of the top thirty business schools within the United States. In addition, the section contains links to human resource departments to some renowned business schools around the world.
