Department of Business Administration is seeking new colleagues at the Assistant Professor level (rank is negotiable contingent upon experience and research evidence) for Fall 2014 in the areas of Accounting, Marketing, Human Resources Management, Entrepreneurship, Management Science/Operations Management, Information Systems, International Business, and Strategic Management.
The Department wishes to attract candidates who have earned doctorate degrees in the aforementioned fields or from a relevant discipline. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in original, high-caliber research in the designated fields and demonstrate recent publications in refereed scholarly journals that are indexed in the SSCI. Aligned with the Department’s commitment to excellence in business education and teaching, a proven record of teaching excellence is required. The typical full teaching load is 6 credit hours per semester. Extra stipend in addition to a base salary is possible if there is an interest in teaching in the Executive MBA and joint-degree SUNY programs. Housing on the beautiful Middle East Technical University (METU) campus is provided as well. Publications in high quality journals are supported with monetary awards by the President’s Office. Travel grants for two international conferences per year and other research grants are available. Performance assessment is based predominantly on research and teaching activities.
METU Department of Business Administration (www.ba.metu.edu.tr) has an undergraduate program in Business Administration, a joint-degree undergraduate program with SUNY Binghamton, a full-time MBA, an Executive MBA, and a Ph.D. program in Finance. Most of the faculty have doctorates from leading research universities in the US and Europe and is actively involved in research.
