The School of Management and Marketing at UCC is one of the core schools in the business area and contributes to the major business programmes of the College of Business and Law, and in particular are anchor contributors to the BComm suite of programmes and the Executive MBA programme. In addition the School offers a number of dedicated management and marketing programmes at postgraduate level. The School is committed to leading-edge research across a wide variety of both mainstream and more novel areas, and colleagues enjoy productive research partnerships both within and outside the university. Colleagues within the school conduct research on themes from the lived experience of work to consumption and ethics, in many different settings including public, private and third sector environments, looking at both organizational and individual issues.
The school is in an exciting phase of its growth, and the successful appointees to these posts will be expected to contribute to the development of the School within the wider Business School and the university.
UCC invites applications for the following permanent whole-time posts in the School of Management and Marketing:
- Senior Lectureship in Human Resource Management
- Lectureship in Management
- Lectureship in Marketing
Applications to the Lectureship post in Marketing are invited from colleagues with teaching and research experience in all areas of Marketing. Applications for the Lectureship post in Management are invited from colleagues with teaching and research expertise in the Operations and/or Project Management area. All appointees will be expected to contribute to the undergraduate, postgraduate and executive teaching of the School, conduct ongoing productive research, and supervise research students, and contribute to the administrative duties of the school and the academic life of the university. The appointee to the Senior Lectureship will also be expected to contribute to the ongoing development of the HR discipline in UCC, including engagement with the Masters and Higher Diploma in HRM.
