The Faculty of Management of the National Research University Higher School of Economics in Moscow, Russia invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position of an Assistant Professor in International Business, Business Policy and Strategy, Human Resource Management, Project Management, Organizational Behavior, International Management, Marketing, and Managerial Economics. Applications for Associate and Full Professorships will also be considered. Knowledge of Russian is not required as teaching is done in English.
The HSE is a young, dynamic, fast-growing Russian research university, currently in the top three in Russia in the area of management.
The successful candidate is expected to conduct high-quality research publishable in reputable peer-reviewed journals with research support provided by the university’s Centre for Advanced Studies – a collaborative endeavor with Moscow’s New Economic School. The appointments will be made for three years in the first instance, starting in September 2015, with reviews of teaching and research during the third year. The salary is competitive, indexed to inflation annually, and subject to a 13% flat income tax. In addition to travel support and other benefits, significant research grants are available on a competitive basis. The teaching load of newly hired faculty is minimal and service is not required; heavy emphasis is placed on high quality research. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in management, business, economics or a related field, or be within a year of completion at the time of application.
