The Ohio University Department of Management in the College of Business invites applications for a tenure-track position as an Assistant/Associate Professor in Strategy beginning in August 2015.
We are looking for student-centered, research-active, innovative faculty members who would be able to teach a writing intensive, capstone course in Business Strategy. The selected candidate will also have secondary teaching responsibility in Management & International Business. All applicants must be at least at the ABD stage of their Doctoral studies with an expectation of completion by the end of 2015 or with the Ph.D. completed.
Ohio University’s College of Business is accredited by the AACSB. We offer a BBA with a range of majors, all of whom must complete the Strategy capstone course. We also have a range of graduate programs that also require equivalent courses. The Management Department has three affiliated Centers: the Walter Center for Strategic Leadership, the Center for International Business Education & Development, and the Center for Entrepreneurship. Tenure track faculty have a teaching load of 5 courses per year, with typical section sizes of 40, though this will be reduced to 4 courses during the first two years for new hires. Salaries for the appointment are competitive commensurate with either ABD status or Ph.D. completed.
