Job Description

Assistant Professor in Strategy/International Business

Applications are invited for appointment as Assistant Professor in Strategy/International Business (IB) in the School of Business, on the tenure track, to commence from August 1, 2015, on a three-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal, subject to availability of funding.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in Strategy, International Business or Management, with potential for high-quality research and teaching. Preference will be given to those in Strategy/IB areas such as competitive and corporate strategy, global strategy, firm boundaries and organization, with a focus on strategies in emerging economies. The appointee is expected to publish in top-tier strategy/IB journals and to teach undergraduate and graduate courses.  Information about the Faculty and the School can be obtained at http://www.fbe.hku.hk/ and http://www.business.hku.hk/.

A globally competitive remuneration package commensurate with the appointee's qualifications and experience will be offered.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary, as well as leave, and medical benefits.  Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
