Concordia University in Portland, Oregon announces a national search for dean of the School of Management (SOM). The dean is the chief administrator of the school and reports directly to the Provost. The new dean will be expected to assume office on or about July 1, 2015.
Concordia University is a Christian university, founded in 1905 by The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, that welcomes students from all faiths and prepares leaders for the transformation of society. The campus is on 13 acres in a residential neighborhood of Portland and enrolls over 5000 students from all over the nation and world. SOM is one of five colleges and schools at the university and offers the BS degree in business and the MBA degree.
The successful candidate will possess an earned terminal degree in a discipline within the school and a demonstrated record of significant executive academic leadership. S/he must be able to fully support the mission, core themes and values of the institution. The search is being assisted by Academic Search Inc.
