Job Description

The Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Economics Department of SKEMA Business School is seeking applicants for an Assistant or Associate Professor position in International Business beginning on September 1, 2016. For applicants seeking an Associate Professor position, the successful candidate must have demonstrated excellence in research through peer-reviewed publications. For applicants seeking an Assistant Professor position, the successful candidate must possess a promising research potential.

The successful candidate must possess a good track record in teaching. The position requires teaching in topics related to International Business, such as International Strategy & Entrepreneurship or Cross-Cultural Management. The position is based on SKEMA's Sophia-Antipolis campus (area of Nice city), France.

Funding for conference attendance, research support, and access to many attractive databases (such as WRDS, ThomsonOne, and Bureau van Dijk) is provided.

Position summary:

The successful candidate will:

  • be in charge of the relationship with the students of the MSc in International Business on the Sophia-Antipolis campus;
  • work under the supervision of the Scientific Director of the Msc in International Business;
  • actively participate in managing the MSc program in International Business on SKEMA’s Sophia-Antipolis campus;
  • interact with students and provide a strong commitment to engage in innovative teaching;
  • control and supervise MSc students’ theses;
  • have a central role in the institutional and academic lives, and will be asked to contribute to the development of the campus;
  • be asked to interact with the local business eco-system;
  • be in charge of representing SKEMA Business School outside the school.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Management, Strategy, or a related field (candidates who will complete their PhD before September 1, 2016, should provide a written proof from their PhD supervisor).
  • For applicants seeking an Associate Professor position: publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals.
  • For applicants seeking an Assistant Professor position: a demonstrated potential for quality research.
  • A proven ability to deliver excellent teaching.
  • Ability to teach in English.
