The Department of International Business, Marketing, Strategy and Law invites applications for a full-time probationary appointment in Public Relations at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, commencing on or after January 1, 2017, subject to final budgetary approval.

The School of Business is seeking faculty with demonstrated potential to publish and present their research while achieving teaching excellence in the classroom. Ideally the department is seeking active researchers in Public Relations, or in a related area.

A review of applications will begin August 31, 2016.

Preferred candidates will hold a Ph.D; with a primary commitment to undergraduate teaching and ability to demonstrate to the hiring committee a research plan. Professional and teaching experience in Public Relations, or related areas, such as corporate diplomacy, reputation management, stakeholder analysis and integrated marketing communications, are desirable. Accreditation by a professional designation would also be an asset.

Applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, teaching dossier (including recent teaching evaluations), statement of research interests, sample of scholarly work, and academic transcripts. Three letters of reference, quoting the competition number and candidate name, should be sent directly from referees to careers@macewan.ca. This position is included under the Faculty Association collective agreement. Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position will be open until a suitable candidate is found.
