Job Description

Widener University's School of Business Administration (SBA), which is accredited by AACSB-International, invites applications for TWO tenure-track positions in accounting at the rank of Assistant Professor, one position starting in January 2017 and the second position starting in August 2017.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach a range of graduate and undergraduate courses in Accounting.
  • Teach three courses per semester, which may be in the face-to-face, online or hybrid formats.
  • Contribute to the school through teaching, research and service, including advising.

Job Qualifications: The ideal candidate will

  • Have a Ph.D. in Accounting from an AACSB accredited business program by the date of appointment. ABD candidates will be considered with a planned completion date by August 2017.
  • Meet the requirements of AACSB for Scholarly Academic status.
  • Be qualified to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in accounting with preference given to individuals who can teach financial accounting, accounting information systems, auditing, and forensic accounting.
