Job Description

The School of Economics and Business, University of Chile calls for applications to hire a full-time academic in teaching and research for the Department of Business, in the Human Resources area (People Management area). The position is based in Santiago, Chile.

Specific requirements

  • Type A Profile:
    • To Possess an academic Ph.D. degree majoring in Management, Human Resources and other areas related to Personnel Management and Organizational areas.
    • Focus and / or understanding of Organizational Studies with expertise in the areas of strategic human resource management, people management policies and practices or organizational behaviour. Specific requirements
  • Type B Profile:
    • To Possess an academic Ph.D. degree majoring in Management, Human Resources or Organizational Studies or Labour Science and related areas,
    • Focus and / or understanding of the fields of organizational dynamics and change and / or socio-political analysis of work and organizations.

General Requirements - Both Profiles

  • Major in Business Administration or other areas related to People Management.
  • High capacity and / or potential to teach in Undergraduate / Postgraduate programmes. It will be favourably considered to have teaching experience in high-level universities and recognitions in these areas.
  • High capacity to develop scientific research and development of publications in high impact journals indexed in the Web of Science (ISI-WOS).
  • Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken. - It is desirable to have participated as main Researcher and / or Co-researcher in Grant Projects.

Background Information required - Both profiles: Curriculum Vitae clearly explaining academic degrees, publications, future research and a summary of the given lectures.
