If you're looking for a last minute deal on international summer travel, Mexico may be the best option. In the wake of a swine flu pandemic that crippled Mexico's tourism industry, hotels and resorts are slashing their prices - as much as 70% - in an effort to regain solid footing.

Even though swine flu has proved to be less deadly than originally feared, hotels and resorts are undergoing massive cleaning efforts in order to assuage fears of potential customers.

Some are even offering flu-free guarantees. Real Resorts is offering any customer who "contracts the (H1N1) flu virus within 14 days of visiting any of its resorts in Cancun or Playa del Carmen a three year package of complimentary guaranteed vacations."

If you, like many others, resent the over-hyped media coverage of swine flu, one of the best (and most relaxing) ways to protest is to take advantage of the great deals that form the silver lining of the swine flu cloud.
