Forbes, by Dan Ackman
http://www.forbes.com/home/2003/11/11/cx_da_1111topnews.html
The World Trade Organization (WTO) decided to uphold an earlier decision that the 2002 steel tariffs imposed by the US were in violation of international treaties. If enforced, the US can face the largest ever sanctions levied on a WTO member by the organization. In response to the US steel tariffs, European Union, Brazil, and China are planning to impose sanctions on various US imports. Will the US lift the tariffs or resist the sanctions? This article tries to find an answer to this question.

Eurozone Giants Return To Growth
BBC News

Signs of economic recovery are not exclusive of the US. The two largest economies of the EU, Germany and France, returned to growth in the second quarter of the year. Certainly, the revitalization of the US economy had an important impact on the economy of these two countries, especially in Germany where a trade surplus with the US is the major cause of its resurgent wealth.
