Feature of the Month : Global Entrepreneurship

Every business, even the largest companies in the world, start from small beginnings. Entrepreneurs possess the ability to dramatically transform economies by creating new job opportunities and providing innovative ideas for the foundation of growth. Despite technological advancements and growing financial markets, one of the toughest challenges facing entrepreneurs is acquiring capital funds to start a business. Most entrepreneurs look domestically for start-up funds and loans. However, if large corporations can tap into the resources provided by international markets, why can’t small start-up businesses do the same?

In today’s globalized marketplace, entrepreneurs have the opportunity to look abroad for investors with relative ease. Angel investors provide capital for start-up businesses and these investors have already developed networks at both the global and local levels. Globalization has created a capital market that can be accessed by entrepreneurs from virtually anywhere around the world. Entrepreneurs need funds as they are responsible for driving energy, innovation, and opportunity into the global economy. With the advantages created by globalization, entrepreneurial activities can continue to flourish.
