Innovation is constantly leading to advancements in the business world, and one area that is currently experiencing major growth is artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to machines that can perform intelligent tasks, such as recognition and decision-making, that were once left to humans. In various industries, AI has completely changed the dynamics for doing business, and many are expecting even more automation in the coming years.

Manufacturing has long been an industry affected by advances in artificial intelligence, but recently, many more industries have adopted AI. These industries include finance, medicine, and law, to name a few. For businesses around the world, the incorporation of the technology has introduced efficiency and reliability to their operations, as algorithms can be easily tinkered with to produce the desired results. Investment in AI has soared in the past five years, with over $3 billion raised globally since 2011.

For international businesses, big data has become extremely important. AI offers an easy way to sift through vast amounts of data, which can give firms the needed edge to be successful against their competition.
