What does the Academy section offer?

The Academy section is the globalEDGE� initiative to address specific needs of the academic community. It provides international business focused resources that cater to the needs of teachers, researchers, students, and professionals interested in academic research. Only selected links and resources that have been carefully evaluated and categorized by the globalEDGE� team are included in the listings. In addition, a collection of online course modules is available to provide training and guidance on International Business topics such as exporting, culture, and law.

What information do I find in the Academy section?

Resources in the Academy section are categorized according to their specific orientation and content as follows:

Course Content: This category includes resources that are designed to help with classroom instruction and preparation, including textbook publishers, video depositories, case depositories, and exercises and simulations, course syllabi, language guides, plagiarism, and gE�s very own online course modules.

Research: In this section users will find resources that are specifically geared towards research and publication. It includes academic publishers, paper depositories, journals, professional organizations, and mailing lists.

Announcements: These resources provide information on upcoming international conferences, call for papers, faculty development, and grant opportunities.

Career Resources: This section is geared towards helping users further their career goals in the academic arena. Includes globalEDGE Job Bank, Job Posting Sites, Career Advice, and University HR Sites.

What are the Online Course Modules?

This section provides interactive educational tools for use in the classroom or in executive training. These modules focus on multiple areas pertinent to international business and most modules include cases or anecdotes, a glossary of terms, quiz questions, and a list of references where applicable. The modules are also excellent resources to prepare for the Certified Global Business Professional Credential. Module topics include: exporting, agricultural business, legal issues, functions, market research & entry, culture, and modules on conducting business in various countries.
