The site also offers analyses of news events pertaining to globalization. In addition, numerous videos are available to be downloaded from interviews this organization has conducted, and useful tools are provided for teachers interested in globalization. Carnegie Endowment for International Peace provides this site.

IBM - Globalizing Your e-Business

A guide to globalizing your e-business by IBM. While the site is created for selling IBM's solutions, there are numerous useful articles and guides. A facts and figures page introduces tidbits of information about globalization. An introductory guide to locales list deals with how numeric data is handled (formatting, use of separators, groupings, etc.) in different cultures, including a country-by-country guide. There is even an introductory managerial article on what culture and diversity means and why they are important.

Institute of Development Studies: Globalization Team

International Federation of Free Trade Unions: Globalization and Economic Affairs

Some publications are available in Spanish. IPN is an independent and educational organization created to eliminate poverty, better human health, and to secure the environment.

Merlot : International Business

Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching (MERLOT) supplies links to globalization articles and information from many different sources. There are also many links to international business information, export and international trade, and country info. Membership is available but not necessary.

Peterson Institute for International Economics: Globalization

One of the many research topics the Peterson Institute of International Economics provides is globalization. Papers, testimonies, and policy briefs are available on topics like the environment, labor, migration, and politics of globalization. Also, for each topic, a series of books are available, which can be purchased. The IIE is nonprofit, independent organization.

Public Citizen: Global Trade Watch

Global Trade Watch is a division of Public Citizen promoting democracy by challenging corporate globalization. The focus of the site is clearly one-sided but it does provide useful news on globalization as well as publications on trade agreements and government.

Research on Globalization and Economic Policy: Research papers

A series of research papers covering globalization and trade issues can be downloaded in PDF format. Created in 2001 in the Nottingham School of Economics, the Leverhulme Centre for Research on Globalization and Economic Policy supports research that is scientific and concentrated in policy.

This is a sub-site of Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. It provides detailed explanation of terms related to globalization topics, the history of globalization, the present situation of globalization, and the debates on the globalization.

The Heritage Foundation: Trade and Economic Freedom

Developed by the World Bank, this pro-globalization website presents research, statistics, presentations, working papers, news and speeches supporting globalization. They publish a number of research reports addressing development policies.

Third World Network: Trade Issues/Rules and WTO

From the viewpoint of the developing countries, this site provides articles on the WTO negotiations and agreements. Also available are a series of books, which can be ordered. Focusing on matters pertaining to the Third World as well as to the North and South, the Third World Network (TWN) is an independent organization associated with organizations in the Third World and in the North. A nonprofit organization, TWN has many objectives, one of which is to carry out research on economic, environmental and social topics relating to the South.

Understanding the Face of Globalization

A guide to globalization developed by the Center for International Education (CIE) at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM). Though the guide was created in 2001, it still contains relevant information pertaining to globalization.

UNIDO: Globalization and Its Implications on Industries

This UNIDO publication contains links to documents on the topic of globalization and how it is affecting industrial development. While some of the publications are a few years old, they provide relevant information on topics like trade in a global economy, industrialization, and poverty alleviation. Publications are free of charge and each document can be downloaded in PDF form.

United Nations University: World Institute for Development Economics Research

WIDER provides some events on globalization as well as research papers, lectures, discussion papers, and policy briefs, all of which are available in PDF format. Site also offers a round-table for professional interaction and advocates policies that result in fair sustainable growth.

World Growth

World Growth is a non-profit advocacy and policy research organization created to balance the debate on globalization, trade, and sustainable development. The site includes news, issues, educational campaigns, and resources relevant to reducing poverty through globalization.

WTO: Trade and Environment

Among the many resources the Trade and Environment section of the WTO offers are an introductory document on Trade and Environment at the WTO, negotiations on trade and environment, and some provisions relating to the trade aspect of environmental issues.

Yale Center for the Study of Globalization

The Yale Center for the Study of Globalization is dedicated to evaluating and analyzing the effects of globalization on the world community. This site contains conference announcements, globalization focused events, and various news articles. It is also the home to Yale Global Online , an online magazine that serves as a resource for current events and international affairs.

United States: NOW Globalization Debates

PBS furnishes viewers with information about globalization and supplies views as pros and cons. There are links available to other debates on subjects about the community, politics, economy, culture, science, and much more. The site also has discussion boards and links to other news stories pertaining to related subjects.
