The Chartbook is published by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of International Labor Affairs. The statistical indicators included in the comparisons are; gross domestic product per capita, labor market, competitiveness indicators for manufacturing and other labor related indicators.
An annual review by BP, the site provides statistical data on energy trends worldwide. Information provided includes consumption, production and prices. Reports are available for downloading and printing.
CenTradeX provides trade information on 200 countries, all 50 U.S. States, and millions of companies worldwide. Users may search via company name, product keywords, Harmonized Codes, NAICS Codes, SIC Codes, or an alphabetized list of products. The search results are then graphically displayed with the top 10 import and markets worldwide for the search term. Other displays and information can be obtained such as import and export trends, numbers of units sold to various markets, and the price per unit (PPU) and dollar values of sales.
The World Factbook is produced annually by the Central Intelligence Agency for the use of US Government officials, and the style, format, coverage, and content are designed to meet their specific requirements. The documents contain all vital information and statistics, under the following headings: Geography; People; Government; Economy; Communications; Transportation; Transnational Issues; and Defense Forces.

The Davidson Data Center and Network (DDCN) is located within the William Davidson Institute at the University of Michigan Business School and is jointly funded by the National Science Foundation and the William Davidson Institute. DDCN is an integrated, fully searchable online database on transition and emerging markets. It has three main components: a data locator, an archive and a clearinghouse. World Steel in Figures is a publication of the International Iron and Steel Institute (IISI). The site has statistical data showing current and historical trends in world steel production and consumption.
A comprehensive database of key indicators, the World Economic Outlook Database is created during the biannual World Economic Outlook (WEO) exercise. The data is the product of a comprehensive interdepartmental review of world economic developments, which draws primarily on information the IMF staff gathers through its consultations with member countries.
The International Data Base is provided by the U.S. Census Bureau's International Programs Center (IPC). It is a computerized data bank containing statistical tables of demographic and socio-economic data for 227 countries and areas of the world.
International IDEA provides election and democracy related information for both regions and countries, with statistics provided per country.

The World Bank has created a special section on the web site dedicated to providing development data from their research publications. Based primarily on the World Development Indicators, an annual statistics publication of the World Bank, the website provides access to the data by country (across indicators) as well as by topic (across countries). All deliverables are in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format.
This site contains data on the investment climate in 98 countries, based on surveys of almost 66,000 firms. Enterprise surveys measure business perceptions of the investment climate and can be used to analyze the link between job creation and productivity growth. Data featured covers over 500 indicators on topics such as bureaucracy, corruption, court systems, crime, finance, infrastructure, innovation, jobs, productivity, taxation, and trade.

In 1998, a joint meeting of the UN, the OECD, and the World Bank proposed 21 indicators to track progress towards international development goals. Now, the World Development Indicators is the World Bank's premier annual compilation of data about development. Information is organized into six sections: worldview, people, environment, economy, states and markets, and global links. WDI 2007 includes more than 900 indicators and covers 152 economies. The World Development Report is an annual publication of the World Bank that focuses on a different specific topic every year. In addition to detailed analysis and data on this specific topic, the report also offers selected World Development Indicators, statistical tables providing instant access to the most current data available on social and economic development in more than 200 economies. The complete report with statistical tables as well as previous editions are accessible online in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format. The theme of the WDR 2007 is youth, focusing on those between 12 and 14 years of age. This report focuses on all the important changes and transitions involved in those years.
The World Health Organization Information System is the guide to health and health-related epidemiological and statistical information available from the World Health Organization.
World in Figures (Presented by the The Economist) provides worldwide statistical and survey data on countries around the globe. A free data analyzer is also provided on the site. The global database contains statistical figures about a country’s economy, society, environment, social behavior, politics as well as public opinion polls. Available in English, Hungarian and Polish. Must have Java enabled to view the global data. Product available only to Economist.com subscribers and registration does require a fee.
Although targeted for the Finnish speaker (countries ordered by Finnish name with English name provided), the site gives international statistical data for 241 countries in downloadable Excel files.
The World Resources Institute publishes relevant information concerning the economy, political conditions, and other topics regarding different countries. The articles has a myriad of articles dating from 2007 back to the 1980's. The web site provides access to an executive summary and the text of the report in PDF format (check the menu on the right). However, the entire report (primarily the data tables) is not available to download from the site.
International Trade Statistics is an annual report that provides comprehensive, comparable and up-to-date statistics on trade in merchandise and commercial services for an assessment of world trade flows by country, region and main product groups or service categories. The overview explains the main features of trade for the past year, an outlook towards trade in the current year, global trade and output developments, and more. Africa Live Database is a comprehensive database of macroeconomic and sectoral indicators for the Sub-Saharan countries. The database allows the data to be viewed by country as well as by indicator and allows ranking, charting and benchmarking.

Latinobarometro is an annual public opinion survey carried out in 17 Latin American countries by the CORPORACIÓN LATINOBARÓMETRO. It expresses the opinions, attitudes, and behaviors of the more than 400 million inhabitants of the region. The results of the polls are available in its annual press release.

Danmarks Statistik contains detailed statistical information on the Danish society. The data is available free of charge. The site is available in Danish and English.

The statistical database has extensive data on both economic and social aspects of Estonia. A wide range of indicators (economy, social, environment, population etc) is covered with some of the archived data starting from 1992. FISB provides statistical figures and indicators including demographic, population, price, trade, financial and employment data. Some of the tables in the selected statistics section have data only up to 1996 and 1998.

The Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) features a wealth of statistical data for the country sorted by sector and by region. There is also a monthly executive summary of the Indonesian macroeconomic indicators.
