Global Legal Information Network

The Global Legal Information Network (GLIN) maintains and provides a database of laws, regulations, and other complementary legal sources. The documents included in the database are contributed by the governments of the member nations from the original official texts which are deposited. All documents are accompanied with an English summary.

International Trade Legal Newsletter

Provided by a private law firm, this web site includes a "what's hot" section, a topic archive and an electronic Newsletter on customs, transportation, and international law issues. The Newsletter is monthly, while the archive contains both contemporary and older issues under each topic.

Juris International

Juris International is a project lead by the International Trade Centre (ITC-UNCTAD/WTO). The site is accessible in three languages: English, French, and Spanish. LII/Legal Information Institute: International Trade

This international trade site contains federal and international material as well as other resources for those looking for information on international trade law. Wex, the legal encyclopedia from which the article gets its information, is sponsored and hosted by the Legal Information Institute at the Cornell Law School.

LLRX - Revised Guide to International Trade Law Sources on the Internet

A wide range of links and resources dealing with trade and trade law. Sources provided cover many subjects such as research guides to international law, international trade organizations, country guides addressing international business practices, comments and analysis on trade, international trade agreements, and U.S. government sources.

SICE - Foreign Trade Information System

The Foreign Trade Information System web site includes the full-text of all western hemisphere trade agreements, including NAFTA, MERCOSUR, CARICOM, and GATT; information on dispute settlement procedures; investment treaties; intellectual property rights; and links to sites providing quantitative trade data and other useful information. The site can be browsed in four languages: French, English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Trade Information Center

Powered by the United States Department of Commerce, the Trade Information Center (TIC) provides resources for international trade, including information on foreign tariffs, tax and customs, and country-specific information related to global trade. The site also provides information on various trade agreements in the world.

Trading With Canada

The Michigan State University Law School's Institute for Trade in the Americas (ITA)is offering a series of workshops designed to provide attendees with a broad understanding of U.S. – Canadian trading protocols and procedures. The workshops are aimed at small- to medium-size businesses in Michigan as well as the agencies that serve them.

Transnational Law Digest and Bibliography

Maintained by the Center for International Law, the Transnational Law Digest and Bibliography (TLBD) is the first online platform with a Digest on the New Lex Mercatoria, and a Bibliography of individuals important to international trade law.

United Nations Commission on International Trade Law

United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods

World Intellectual Property Organization

World Trade Law

Canada: Canadian Council on International Law

CCIL, founded in 1972, seeks to promote the study and analysis of international legal issues by university scholars, government lawyers, practitioners and students. Some areas of its web site are password-protected, and a fee-based membership is required to access these areas (to download CCIL archives and publications, access a membership directory, etc).

Czech Republic: Official site of public contracts

Searching for contracts is available in this site as are forms and ways of publishing contracts or concessions. While most information is available in English and Czech, parts of the site are only available in Czech.

Japan: Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC)

Established by the Japanese government, this site provides updates on the latest information on Japan's legislation and guidance regarding trade. Several reports are also available throughout the site, such as study groups on the international shipping market, competition policy, and more.

Singapore: Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS)

This website provides useful information and resources on intellectual property (IP) laws in Singapore. The Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) offers services such as patent agents that assist clients protect intellectual properties and rights. Other resources pertain to free agreements between Singapore and its partners.

Singapore: Ministry of Trade and Industry

Powered by the Singapore Ministry of Trade and Industry, this website offers information on the laws and regulations on the free trade agreements of Singapore. Resources on agreements such as USSFTA (United States-Singapore Free Trade Agreement) and JSEPA (Japan-Singapore Economic Partnership Agreement), are available throughout the site. The site also provides the history and rules of origin pertaining to these free trade agreements. Another useful feature is a calculator that helps users compute how much in tariffs they could save based on the country the user is exporting to.

Trinidad and Tobago: Trinidad Law

Developed by M. Hamel-Smith & Co, this resource provides an overview of the legal and regulatory framework for investing and doing business in Trinidad and Tobago. From basic facts and an economic profile, to intellectual property and taxation issues, as well as a special report on the Energy sector, this site is very complete in the information it provides.

United States: The Duke Journal of Comparative & International Law

Published on a semi-annual basis, The Duke Journal of Comparative & International Law publishes articles from international scholars and practitioners as well as student notes.
