Introduction: Industrial Manufacturing Download PDF

The industrial manufacturing industry is responsible for the growth of many other industries. The development of many kinds of machinery is what ultimately led to the industrial revolution. The output of this industry includes all kinds of machinery, from farm and factory equipment, to smaller machinery used in many households, as well as smaller industrial products such as hardware, glass, and paper products.

Risk Description

Industrial Engineering
Buoyant activity in the construction and improvement of road, rail, and airport infrastructure in Asia, the Middle East, and emerging Europe will continue to drive the mechanical engineering sector in industrialised countries. In North America companies exposed to the construction and public works sector will continue to suffer from the steep decline in new housing starts and the slowdown of public spending. Continued strong export performance in the other segments spurred by the weak dollar should suffice to offset the marked domestic investment slowdown. The euro parity will, however, handicap the sector in Western Europe. But the performances of German companies in emerging markets will make it possible to mitigate the slowdown of exports again this year..
