Why should I register?

By registering with globalEDGE™ you become eligible to post to the discussion boards and have unrestricted access to all sections of the site. In addition, registering allows you to sign up for our monthly newsletter that provides brief summaries of new or improved features, articles, and other resources on our site.

What are you going to do with my personal information?

We will keep your information private. Your information is only used internally to improve our site and the content we offer. We will not sell or trade your information with any agency, public or private. Read more about our strict privacy policy.

Why do I need a user name and password?

You need to have a username and password in order to log into the site. By doing this, you will be able to post to the discussion forums, access the member only sections of the site, and to change your settings and preferences.

What if I forget my username or password?

Not a problem. We will email both to you via the email address you provide when you register if necessary from the password recovery page. This is why we ask you for your email.

Why can't I choose my own password?

In order to prevent someone else from registering you without your knowledge, we will email a temporary password to the email address you provide. You will be able to choose a new password when you first log onto the site after registering.

Is the information I enter secure?

Yes. Our site has a variety of security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control.

If I register, are you going to bombard me with SPAM?

No. We will only send you email if you choose to receive it. Even then, it will only be our monthly newsletter and other occasional mailings giving you insights as to recent updates and events on the site.

Why do you need my email address?

In order to prevent someone registering you without your knowledge, we would like to send a temporary password to the email address you provide. Also, if you forget your username or password we will be able to email it to you. In addition, how would you otherwise receive our oh-so-interesting monthly newsletter?

Do I have to log in every time I visit the site?

No. You will be able to view most portions of the site without logging in. In order to post to the discussion boards and access the member only sections, you will have to log in. Furthermore, there is a box just below where you sign in that, if checked, will remember your username and password every time you come to the site.

Is there a fee to register?

No, registration is absolutely free.

Do I have to accept cookies to register?

Yes. Our site uses cookies to keep track of your identity when you log in. We also use cookies to save your identity so that you don't have to re-enter it each time you visit our site. For this option, please see the question titled "Do I have to login everytime I visit the site?"

What is the globalEDGE™ privacy policy?

In short, we are not going to give your information to anyone. Any information you choose to provide will only be used by globalEDGE™ to improve our site and the services we offer. Read more about our strict privacy policy.

Will I be able to change/update my registration information?

Yes. If you have already registered, just view your profile page to change your information and/or account options.

How do I subscribe or unsubscribe to the globalEDGE™ newsletter?

You are given the option to subscribe or unsubscribe to the globalEDGE™ newsletter when you first register on our site. If you don't want to receive the newsletter simply uncheck the box at the bottom of the registration page before submitting your information. You can always come back and change your profile at a later time. Instructions to unsubscribe will be included at the bottom of every newsletter.

Do I have to register to use globalEDGE™?

No. You will be able to use most portions of the site without registering. If you wish to post to the discussion boards or access the members only portion of the site, we will ask you to fill out the registration form. In addition, registering is the only way to subscribe to our oh-so-interesting globalEDGE™ monthly newsletter.
