The Bloomberg web site offers a wide range of tools and information about financial markets. Real time rates, financial news, and currency converters are available for more than 200 currencies.

The web site of Deutsche Bank Research provides a section with useful market information, quality macro-economical analysis, international news and headlines as well as an extensive financial glossary. (Available in German and English)
An index that compares the purchasing-power parity of 120 countries based on the price of an identical item (in this case a Big Mac). This "PPP exchange rate" is then compared with actual currency values to determine which world currencies are undervalued or overvalued when compared with the dollar. The site requires a subscription to Economist.com for access to archived content of the Big Mac index.

IFAC is the global organization for the accountancy profession. It works with its 155 member organizations in 118 countries to protect the public interest by encouraging high quality practices by the world's accountants. The web site provides free publications on international accounting standards and procedures of more than 100 countries. Some services are available only to qualified members.
The Global Financial Stability Report is a semi-annual report published by the International Capital Markets division of IMF. The report aims to provide a regular assessment of global financial markets and to identify potential systemic weaknesses that could lead to crises. Available in PDF format.
The IMF is an international organization of 184 member countries. It was established to promote international monetary cooperation, exchange stability, and orderly exchange arrangements. The web site provides a broad range of useful tools, data and information on international finance, a rich weekly news section and an international financial database for free. It is available also in French and Spanish.
The Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations is a nonprofit, public international organization established in 1967. The organization consists of tax administrations from 29 American countries and six European countries. The site provides information on various international tax and customs agreements and legislation, a model tax code and numerous publications.
IFC, an arm of the World Bank, provides very useful information for the international business person interested in private sector investments in developing countries. Information is well laid-out and easy to understand. Several reports are available describing initiatives, progress, and research relating to IFC-initiatives.
International Finance Theory & Policy Analysis
The International Economics Study Center is provided by an academic from George Washington University and includes a text-book online format, so the site contains a vast amount of information for those interested in international finance and cross-country transactions. Also includes a good deal of international trade information and news available on the main page.
This web site is the home to a global financial trade association whose members trade negotiated derivatives, covering trades and options in fields such as interest rates, currency, commodities, energy, and credit.
International Tax Online
Provided by Tax Analysts, International Tax Online is designed to provide international tax information for global businesses in the U.S. and to provide more general tax information for businesses outside the U.S. The site publishes Worldwide Tax Daily, and Tax Notes International (weekly). A paid subscription is required to gain access to financial publications but a free trial is available.
Investopedia is an online stock and financial dictionary with a number of other investing links and tips. A few points of interest are financial articles, the exam prep section for the student, and a stock simulator program. Membership is free of charge and grants the user access to the stock simulator and free newsletters.
As a Euromoney Institutional Investor company, ISI Emerging Markets delivers news, company data, and financial data directly from emerging markets to thousands of emerging markets specialists around the world. Subscription required for all features.
The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), which is comprised of 30 member countries, offers a wealth of information relating to global finance and investment. This site provides information relating to banking, securities and institutional investors, and the development of international financial best practices.
The home page of Standard and Poor's offers detailed information regarding global indices and international stock markets. Includes statistics, current news, and an Emerging Markets Database, which offers a passageway to information on all 54 emerging markets covered by S&P indices, as well as to other emerging markets with an operating stock exchange and website. For even more emerging market information, S&P publishes an Emerging Stock Markets Review and the Emerging Stock Markets Factbook available for purchase.
The Global Trade Finance section of TD offers tools and valuable resources on global finance. There is a "Crash Course in Trade Financing" as well as detailed pages for Letters of Credit, export documents, plus a Global Trade Glossary.
The "Thompson Financial League Tables" are the worldwide sources of quarterly and yearly data on the financial industry. They include Debt & Equity, Mergers & Acquisitions, Syndicated Loans, Project Finance and Municipals. A ranking is also provided in each section, based on the size and number of transactions executed by each financial institutions.

It addresses the operations of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank in the global economy.
