UCC wishes to appoint three academics to the Department of Management and Marketing. The Department of Management and Marketing is committed to providing a dynamic and supportive learning and research environment, which recognises the diverse backgrounds and interests of both students and staff. The purpose of these posts is to further the realisation of the Department’s vision to be recognised as both a disciplinary leader in management and marketing research and education, and for our multi-disciplinary contribution to addressing the pressing challenges of business and society.

Faculty in the department are increasingly recognised at a national and international level for the quality of their research as evidenced by publications in the leading international journals, holding of editorial roles, membership of editorial advisory boards, and so forth. The advertised roles will involve contributing to the design, development and delivery of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level, as well as conducting research and publishing in high quality outlets, supervise students, and contribute to the administrative duties of the school and the academic life of the university.

Applications for the Lectureship in Marketing are invited from those with teaching and research experience in Marketing. Subject expertise in Digital and Social Media Marketing is required, as well as a willingness and ability to teach across other marketing areas where required.

Applications for the two Lectureships in Management are invited from colleagues with teaching and research expertise in the subject areas of Strategy (public/private/3rd sector), Innovation, Entrepreneurship; International Business/Management or Operations Management. Colleagues of an inter-disciplinary nature whose research and teaching experience demonstrate the ability and willingness to teach across multiple subjects are especially encouraged to apply.

Please note that Garda vetting and/or an international police clearance check may form part of the selection process.

For an information package including full details of the post, selection criteria and application process see www.ucc.ie/hr/vacancies. The University, at its discretion, may undertake to make an additional appointment(s) from this competition following the conclusion of the process.
