Job Description

The University of Innsbruck invites applications for the position of University Professor of BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION WITH A FOCUS ON INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT at the Department of Strategic Management, Marketing, and Tourism of the Faculty of Business and Management.

The position will be based on a permanent civil-law employment contract with the University. Responsibilities include 

  • Representing the subject of “Business Administration” both in research and teaching with a main focus on “International Management” and an interdisciplinary approach to the diverse fields of Management.
  • Offering courses in Business Administration with a focus on “International Management” in all programs offered by the faculty, particularly in the Diploma Programme International Economic and Business Studies.
  • Advancing the Diploma Programme “International Economic and Business Studies”.
  • Developing and managing the international network of the faculty.
  • Participating in the University transdisciplinary research platform ‘Organizations & Society’. 
  • Participating in projects within research programs (e.g. EU).
  • Service to the faculty and to the community.

Eligibility requirements include a pertinent degree in higher education, a pertinent ‘Habilitation’ or equivalent qualification, publications in leading international peer-reviewed journals, involvement in international research, experience abroad, and experience with the management of international study programs.

The basic salary is set down in the collective bargaining agreement for university employees. Professors are in the remuneration group A 1. For the position, the monthly salary is 5.005,10 Euro (14 x). Depending on qualification and experience a higher salary can be a topic in the negotiations with the rector.
