Job Description

Sun Yat-Sen Business School (SYSBS), one of the top business schools in China, invites applications for an open rank tenure-track position (Assistant/Associate/Full) in the field of Organization Behavior & Human Resources beginning Fall 2014. Visiting positions in teaching OBHR are also available.

THE UNIVERSITY: With its longstanding tradition in arts, sciences, business administration, medicine, and engineering, Sun Yat-Sen University is recognized as one of the nation’s top universities in China. SYSU is located in Guangzhou, China’s third largest city, neighboring Hong Kong and Macro. SYSU has at present a combined faculty of over 13,600, with 42 schools and 8 affiliated hospitals. THE SCHOOL: Established in 1985, SYSBS offers a broad range of business degree programs. SYSBS became the first business school to be instituted by an overseas foundation and one of the first schools to be engaged in business education in Mainland China. SYSBS has been internationally accredited by AMBA, EQUIS, and AACSB, and its various programs have been consistently ranked among the nation’s best. Its EMBA was ranked #11 (2012) and Master’s in Management #44 (2013) worldwide by FT. The School currently has 116 full-time faculty working in six departments and teaching nearly 2,000 undergraduate students and 2,500 graduate students (including over 200 doctoral students). JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should hold (or expected to complete before employment) Ph.D degree in the area together with a proven ability to conduct high-quality research. Applicants should also demonstrate teaching credentials as indicated by teaching assessments or letters of recommendations. Candidates applying for a senior position (associate or full) should also have a record of successful research as demonstrated in publications in internationally respected journals and in international impact.
