Located in western New York State’s Southern Tier, St. Bonaventure University’s beautiful residential campus is on the banks of the Allegheny River 70 miles south of Buffalo.

The School of Business, accredited by AACSB International, consists of four academic departments: accounting, finance, management, and marketing. In addition to popular undergraduate degree programs in the departments, the School of Business offers an MBA which was recently revised to improve integration of the curriculum and enhance marketability of the program. The accounting program, one of the most successful on campus boasts a placement rate of 100%.

Reporting to the Provost and Vice President for academic affairs, the dean will serve as the chief academic officer of the School of Business. S/he will provide academic and administrative leadership for the School. Specific responsibilities include academic policies, programs, curriculum, assessment, scholarship, facilities, budgetary matters, personnel recommendations, student recruiting and fundraising for the School. The ideal candidate should hold a doctoral degree in a business discipline, and have a strong record of accomplishment that would enable appointment as an associate or full professor. S/he also should offer evidence of administrative success in higher education at the department chair level or higher, knowledge of professional business practices and academics, and experience in a leadership role in the AACSB accreditation process. The individual should be committed to collegial governance and consensus building, and possess strong interpersonal communication and leadership skills. Appreciation of and respect for the University’s Catholic, Franciscan mission is expected. Inquiries, nominations, and applications are invited.
