Database of International Business Statistics
The globalEDGE Database of International Business Statistics (DIBS) is a comprehensive source of statistical data. 2,460 fields of data are offered, which can be accessed in across specified years and countries. Interested academics (i.e., students, faculty, and researchers affiliated with a higher education institution, government agency, or think tank) may download data free of charge. The only requirements are that you register on globalEDGE using an institutional (.edu or .gov) email address and provide a description of the study you are conducting using DIBS (each time you download data).

InfoNation is an easy-to-use, two-step database that allows you to view and compare the most up-to-date statistical data for the Member States of the United Nations. World Bank: Enterprise Surveys
This site contains data on the investment climate in 98 countries, based on surveys of almost 66,000 firms. Enterprise surveys measure business perceptions of the investment climate and can be used to analyze the link between job creation and productivity growth. Data featured covers over 500 indicators on topics such as bureaucracy, corruption, court systems, crime, finance, infrastructure, innovation, jobs, productivity, taxation, and trade.

A Chartbook of International Labor Comparisons: United States, Europe and Asia

Users can find data on global patterns of U.S. merchandise trade, as well as product profiles within selected markets. World Bank: World Development Indicators
In 1998, a joint meeting of the UN, the OECD, and the World Bank proposed 21 indicators to track progress towards international development goals. Now, the World Development Indicators is the World Bank's premier annual compilation of data about development. Information is organized into six sections: world view, people, environment, economy, states and markets, and global links. WDI 2009 includes more than 800 indicators and covers 153 economies. The World Development Report is an annual publication of the World Bank that focuses on a different specific topic every year.
