Regulatory Agency Sites
The Transitory Authority for the Regulation of Posts and Telecommunications of Benin (ATRPT) is responsible for defining standards and regulations for telecommunications producers. ATRPT grants licenses and permits to operators, arbitrates disputes between consumers and operators. In addition, ATRPT sets tariffs and prices, defines technical requirements of equipment, and enforces the numbering plan for telecommunications. Only available in French.
The Central Bank of the West African States (BCEAO) is the common central bank of the eight member states which form the West African Economic and Monetary Union: Côte d'Ivoire, Benin, Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Guinea-Bissau, and Togo. The site provides information about the monetary policy and markets, financial stability, payment systems, and the banking and financial system. In addition, the site provides relevant publications, research and studies, and an economic and financial database. The site is only available in French.
The Benin Chamber of Commerce and Industry website provides a variety of business support and training services, information on investing, exporting and events, as well as general tourist information on the country. Only available in French.
