Description

We invite high-quality, original chapters that examine how the rapid diffusion of artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping international business strategies, organizational practices, and global value chains, while raising new ethical, governance, and policy challenges for multinational enterprises.

Aims & Scope

The volume targets cutting-edge research on international business in the era of AI, with a particular focus on how AI-driven digitalization reshapes internationalization processes, organizational practices, and sustainable development. We welcome theoretical, empirical, and case-based papers that examine the strategic, organizational, institutional, and societal implications of AI for multinational enterprises and global business systems.

Book Overview

International Business in the AI Era is a book that innovatively explores how artificial intelligence is changing the global business landscape. Beyond simple technical discourse, this book thoroughly analyzes how intelligent algorithms are reshaping competitive strategies, global value chains, regulatory systems, and organizational structures. Written by leading scholars in the field of international business, this book provides fresh empirical insights based on cross-country case studies, large-scale surveys, and archival data. It systematically addresses where AI creates value in the global market, who owns that value, and how society can distribute the benefits more fairly. Readers will gain a newly reorganized perspective on existing international business theories such as OLI, Uppsala, RBV, and network theory for the data-driven era. Contributions spanning ethics, governance, talent management, innovation, and sustainability make this book an essential resource for scholars, doctoral students, and practitioners navigating the complexities of international business in the age of intelligent technologies. This interesting and thought-provoking book will be an important reference for understanding the strategic and social implications of AI beyond borders.
