UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS AT URBANA-CHAMPAIGN, Gies College of Business Department of Business Administration, Open Rank Position in International Business

We seek candidates with an expertise in International Business. Applications are invited from qualified individuals for a tenure-track position (open rank) beginning August 16, 2020. Candidates applying at the Assistant Professor level should expect to have completed their doctoral degree by Spring 2020. The faculty member will be housed in the ‘Strategy, Entrepreneurship & International Business’ (SEIB) area within the Department of Business Administration. We are interested in persons who have achieved or have the potential to achieve prominence through research in international business. While a Ph.D. in business or a related field is required, we are open to candidates with disciplinary training beyond business who demonstrate the ability to conduct innovative and impactful research on important international business topics. Thus, we welcome candidates with cross-disciplinary backgrounds who have trainings in economics, history, political science, and/or sociology. The ability to interact as scholars and colleagues with the members of the SEIB area is also valued. Furthermore, teaching expectations are high.
