Applications are invited for one tenure-track or tenured position in International Business at the I. H. Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor depending on experience and qualifications.  Preference will be given to candidates at the Assistant rank. The appointment start date is July 1, 2023.

Candidates must have completed or be near completion of a Ph.D specialized in international business (IB), or a closely related field. At the Assistant rank, candidates must display a promising research agenda in the field of IB and present experience or interest in teaching in IB related subareas. At the Associate rank, candidates must demonstrate a strong research record of high-quality publications that either focus on IB or integrate IB with another closely related field. Candidates must also show established research program with evidence of ongoing research productivity and successful experience in academic teaching. Successful candidates close to completion of their doctoral degree may be appointed to a term position at the rank of Lecturer until successful completion of their degree, at which time they will begin their probationary appointment as an Assistant Professor.

Duties include research, teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, student mentorship and supervision, and professional service for the School, the University, and the community.  The normal teaching load at the Asper School is four courses (e.g., 2 + 2). Salary is competitive. Salary and rank will depend on qualifications, experience as well as research and teaching records.

The I. H. Asper School of Business is the principal business school in the province of Manitoba and is accredited by AACSB. The School offers B.Comm (Hons), MBA, MFIN, M.Sc. and PhD degrees.  The Asper School is a research-intensive institution comprised of approximately 58 full-time faculty members (representing over 13 countries) publishing in leading academic journals. Substantial start-up research funding is provided to new faculty members, as is a fully paid six-month sabbatical after three years.
