Emlyon business school is looking for a full/associate professor in strategic management / international strategy, with a preference for scholars doing quantitative research.
The candidate is willing to contribute and participate in collaborative research projects and associated teaching in and around international strategy, business and corporate strategy, or related topics in strategic management with other members of the Strategy & Organization (S&O) department.
The S&O department is home to 27 scholars with diverse backgrounds and interests in Strategic Management and Organization Theory. The S&O department aims at high quality research, as reflected in its publication record in A-level journals (AJS, AMJ, ASQ, ASR, ETP, JBV, JIBS, JMS, JoM, JWB, Org Science, Org Studies, SMJ, SO, Str Sc, etc.). Tight connections with different kinds of organizations provide opportunities for research and engaged scholarship.
The appointment is expected to begin September 1st, 2025, in our new facilities downtown Lyon. The selected candidate is expected to be based in Lyon or nearby. Emlyon has a relocation policy to support the moving process.
Job Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications in line with their level of application:
- At least 4 or 5 years of successful experience as a faculty member
- PhD / doctorate degree in strategy, management, or related fields
- A strong publication track record in top-tier management journals and publication pipeline
- Evidence of excellent teaching in English at different levels
- Desire to collaborate in a collegial and dynamic department and to engage in all aspects of academic life.
