Job Description

The São Paulo School of Business Administration at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV EAESP), in São Paulo, Brazil, invites applications for full-time tenure-track positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the following areas:

FGV-EAESP is a triple-accredited (AACSB, EFMD/EQUIS, and AMBA) business school with a long-standing commitment to academic excellence, impact, and public value. Located in downtown São Paulo, Brazil’s largest economic and cultural center, the School offers a vibrant environment for research, teaching, and engagement with government, industry, and society.

 

Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be expected to:

  • Conduct high-quality research publishable in leading academic journals and capable of generating impact on management practice, organizations, and public policy.
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses with a clear commitment to excellence and student-centered learning and contribute to continuous improvement of curricula.
  • Participate actively in the academic life and governance of the School, engaging in committee work, program development, mentoring students, and collegial collaborations.
  • Supervise graduate research thesis (academic and professional master’s programs).
  • Contribute positively to the School’s mission, visibility, and reputation.

 

Qualifications

Applicants must have:

  • A completed doctoral degree in a relevant field by the time of appointment.
  • A well-articulated research agenda combining rigor and relevance, with evidence of publications in high-quality journals for Associate candidates or strong potential for Assistant candidates.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level; evidence may include teaching evaluations, awards, or pedagogical innovation.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to teach effectively in English.
  • A record (or potential) of collegiality and academic citizenship, including collaboration with colleagues, service to the department, and engagement in institutional initiatives.
  • For Associate candidates: recognition as an emerging or established scholar with national or international visibility.
