Deloitte's Country Guides and Highlights focus on the investment climate, operating conditions, and tax system of most major trading countries. Provided by the U.S. Energy Information Administration, the country analysis briefs offer detailed overviews of the energy resources and usage for each country in the world. The resources are updated regularly and can be downloaded in PDF.

Euromonitor International offers quality international market intelligence on industries, countries, and consumers. The site includes insight articles, reference book listings, global and country reports, and company profiles. Some information is provided on a fee-based subscription service.

Export Finance Australia, developed by the Australian Government's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, provides information on doing business in a variety of countries. Each country profile reviews the economy, politics, business conditions, society, and security risks of the particular country chosen. Key statistics and data in the form of graphs are also provided for each country.

The FedEx Small Business Center provides country snapshots, which contain a detailed listing of information on exporting to and importing from various countries around the world.

WoldTariff is an online database created by FedEx that gives up-to-date information on customs duties and tariffs of 120 countries for a wide variety of products categorized according to the Harmonized System (HS). A paid subscription is necessary to obtain information, but a free trial is available.

Financial Times publishes approximately 200 country and industry surveys annually which appear with copies of the newspaper most days of the week. Topics include financial markets, global industries, business management, and developed and emerging countries. A summary is available for free, however the full reports are accessible only through an FT.com subscription.

Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) is a not-for-profit research program that focuses on providing data on entrepreneurial activity for over 70 countries. The site includes research and publications on a number of different topics, and through its National Reports, GEM gives country-specific entrepreneurial information on an annual basis. In addition, the site offers country profiles, which focus on the entrepreneurial environment in each country and also provide key entrepreneurial indicators. 

GoAbroad.com aims to link international travelers with organizations and other useful international opportunities. This specific section provides a search engine to find embassies and consulates in many countries around the world. Addresses and contact information are included.

The Institutional Profiles Database provides a set of indicators on the institutional characteristics of 143 developed and developing countries. The goal of the database is to offer measurement and analysis on the role institutions play in development. Free registration is required for access to the database.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) provides country reports covering a wide variety of business topics including economic conditions, infrastructure development, debt relief, and many more business subjects related to specific countries. These staff reports are listed alphabetically by country names for which the reports correspond to. Most reports are available as a PDF format for free and the IMF also offers hard copy versions of the reports for a fee.

Prepared by the Federal Research Division of the Library of Congress, the series is comprised of books, each examining a different foreign country. Each book looks at the particular country's history, society and environment, economy, government and politics, and national security. Most of the books have not been updated recently, but provide relevant background and historical information. 

Mondaq is a business briefing service dedicated to professionals and business people involved in international trade and investment. Legal, regulatory, and financial commentary, along with analysis and new updates from world leading professional advisers in over 80 countries on a multitude of international topics such as employment, finance, tax and privacy, are provided free of charge. A free registration is required to access much of the content.

International Transfer Pricing is a study conducted by PwC that serves as a reference guide covering a range of transfer pricing issues and reports in about 70 countries across the world. The study addresses the need for transfer pricing policies and how it affects taxes paid by companies involved in trade. Content is downloadable in PDF formats.

The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) produces objective and timely analysis and forecasts of the political, economic, and business environment in almost 200 countries. It also produces reports on certain strategic industries and on the latest management thinking useful to multinational companies, exporters and importers, and any group that needs to know about political, economic, and business developments across the world. The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), a part of the Economist group, is an information provider for companies establishing and managing operations across national borders anywhere in the world. Viewpoint features the latest online reports in politics, economics, finance, business, and regulations. Most reports are accessible only through a fee-based subscription (14 day free trial period). There is also customized versions of the website for the Americas, Asia, Europe, and Africa/Middle East.

The National Bureau of Asian Research conducts research on various issues affecting relationships between the U.S. and Asian/Middle Eastern countries including economic, globalization, and political issues. The information can be searched by region, issues, or publications. Many of the reports are available for free; however, some require a payment.

Provided by Trade.gov, the Country Commercial Guides contain a wide variety of market intelligence information for over 125 countries. Each guide provides users information about doing business in the country, the political and economic environment, selling U.S. products and services, and leading sectors for U.S. exports and investment. Other business topics covered include trade regulations, investment climate, trade and project financing, and business travel requirements for the country. 

Copies of annual country reports on Human Rights Practices submitted by the U.S. Department of State to the U.S. Congress. In accordance with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, internationally recognized individual, civil, political, and worker rights are taken into account. Report for the most recent year and several past years are available on the site.

Provided by the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Bilateral Relations Fact Sheets contain information for all nations that the U.S. has relations with. Each fact sheet discusses relations between the U.S. and selected country, U.S. assistance to that country, bilateral economic relations, country's membership in international organizations, and bilateral representation. Information is updated as often as it is received for each country.

UNICEF is known for its charity work for children. However, its website also provides news, articles, and information on the organization's activities. Most of the content concerns children, but the extensive statistical information that is given covers a wide range of topics including economics, nutrition, health, education, and demographics. This particular page contains information by country including news, statistics, and other publications available in PDF.
