Deloitte Chair in Leadership Ozyegin University Graduate School of Business Ozyegin University (OzU) Graduate School of Business (GSB) has announced the creation of a new faculty chair, dedicated to teaching and research in leadership in business, government, and communities. The Deloitte Chair in Leadership is funded and supported by the Deloitte Leadership Institute (DLI) established by OzU and the Deloitte Education Foundation. This is a high-profile leadership position within the GSB and the University in an area of scholarship that is central to the DLI’s mission.

To enrich our research, teaching and outreach programs in leadership, we invite nominations and applications for the Deloitte Chair in Leadership. We are interested in established scholars, currently at full professor level, with strong publication records in leadership, who show clear promise for continued productivity and notable thought leadership in this area. Ideal candidates will also have a proven teaching record in the area of leadership and will show the promise of significantly advancing the various curricula and the executive education programs of the GSB and the Institute. The successful candidate will also serve as the Academic Director of the DLI, and thus, must have the capacity to work effectively with faculty across business disciplines, motivate students at all levels, and engage the business community.

OzU is a private not-for-profit university in Istanbul, Turkey, whose language of instruction is English. It aims to be a high-quality research university which serves as a center of attraction for the best academics and students from Turkey and its region. The university was incorporated in May, 2007, and currently has 1,800 students, and 250 faculty and staff. It is expected that the university will grow into a 6,000-student institution over the next three years. OzU is a highly focused university offering professional programs through faculties in business, engineering, law, social sciences, and design, and through vocational schools in hotel management, and aviation management. All faculties offer graduate programs (Masters and PhD). It houses the DLI (the only leadership institute in Turkey), and two of the university’s three research and outreach centers: Center for Computational Finance and Center for Entrepreneurship. In 2011, OzU moved into its new campus located on the Asian side of Istanbul, 15 minutes from the Bosphorus bridges. The campus will be the first LEED-certified campus in Turkey. OzU aspires, within the next decade, to be a leading university in Turkey, as well as the Middle East, North Africa, and Eastern Europe.
