Otterbein University, a comprehensive liberal arts institution in the suburban Columbus, Ohio area, invites immediate applications for an assistant, associate, or full professor position in International Business with the appointment beginning in the academic year 2013-2014. This is a tenure-track position with commensurate expectations for teaching, scholarship and service. Candidates with expertise in this area may also combine this position with our posted MBA Director responsibilities in a non-tenure-track role (being advertised separately on Otterbein’s webpage).

Qualifications: Ph.D. in International Business or related fields from an AACSB accredited college of business/economics or be within one year of degree completion (ABD). He/she must possess superior communication and organization skills. The candidate must also be able to work as part of an academic team where collegiality and mutual support are prerequisites for success. Experience with blended and on-line teaching is preferred. Candidates who indicate an interest in playing an active role in departmental administration will receive special consideration.

Responsibilities include: teaching diverse, talented students in undergraduate and graduate level courses, providing service to the Department and community, advising graduate/undergraduate students, and creating new knowledge through appropriate research. Research priorities focus on refereed output. The successful candidate could be expected to teach in the areas of International Business and Management, Cross-Cultural Management and Organization, International Business Seminars, Business Strategy, International Marketing, MBA International Business, MBA Special Topics in International Business, MBA Business Strategy, and the possible creation of new International Business Courses in the curriculum.
