WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) is currently inviting applications for the position of a Full Professor of Export Management and Internationalization Processes at the Department of Global Business and Trade.

The successful candidate will enrich or extend the teaching and research profile of the Institute for Export Management (finance and risk management in international business transactions) with a functional approach to international business transactions, e.g. export finance, risk management issues in cross-border transactions or international marketing. The successful candidate is expected to assume responsibility for the further development of WU’s new German-language Master-Program “Export- und Internationalisierungsmanagement”.

Applicants should have:

a) a solid academic qualification (e.g. PhD, habilitation) in the field of Export Management and Internationalization Processes or a related area;

b) an interna-tional reputation as a researcher in his/her field and an outstanding publication record;

c) a strong record in attracting research funding;

d) a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching; and e) proven leadership qualities.

The successful candidate will participate in teaching programs at all levels (Bachelor, MSc, PhD and Executive Education). Teaching experience in English and in German is required. The new professor should take an active role in the University’s self-governance.
