Strategy and Organization Subject Group

The Strategy and Organization Subject Group (Management Division) at Leeds University Business School is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Strategy and Organization. We look for candidates who have a strong commitment to conduct a high-quality research in the field of strategic management, intellectual curiosity to connect with the areas of innovation management and organizational theory and deliver inspiring teaching on undergraduate and master level modules. You will be expected to raise the profile of Strategy and Organization Subject Group and collaborate with members of interdisciplinary Centre for Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Strategy and Organization group is engaged in research and teaching about organizations, including their processes, capabilities, organizational forms, technologies, cultural resources and performance. Research and teaching is inspired by contemporary managerial challenges such as strategic innovation, entrepreneurial management, managing in increasingly connected environment and leading strategy processes for translating growth opportunities into sustainable businesses. Research and teaching are based on close collaboration with corporate partners. Members of Strategy and Organization group are active at major international conferences, they hold editorial advisory board positions and contribute to capacity building in the field of management at UK and EU level. Members have won many prestigious projects funded by EU and national research councils (ESRC and EPSRC) and this enables producing insightful new knowledge about management and transferring it into inspiring teaching.

You will have a PhD in the field of Management or appropriate area of Business or Economics along with an established or a developing bibliography of research publications and evident potential to publish in the leading management journals. You will have an understanding of recent developments in the field of strategic management, a track record of attending conferences organized by Strategic Management Society and/or Academy of Management. You will also have experience of giving lectures and/or seminars at undergraduate, postgraduate and post-experience level along with prior experience of developing teaching material for lectures and/or seminars by introducing innovative material or developing and shaping course structure(s).
