Rikkyo University

The College of Business, Rikkyo University (Tokyo, Japan) invites applications for the rank of a tenured associate professor or a tenure-track assistant professor in strategic management and international business.

Applicants should: (1) have a Ph.D. degree in the relevant fields, (2) be able to teach courses in strategic management in English and Japanese at both the undergraduate and the graduate (Master's) levels, (3) be able to conduct high quality research, (4) be a team player and be able to work with other instructors to co-teach certain courses, and (5) be able to actively contribute to the university and the college through committees, etc. 

Two thirds of undergraduate elective courses of the department of global business, and all of the courses in the Master of International Business program, are taught in English. However, competence in the Japanese language is necessary since many of the university committee activities are conducted in Japanese.

The appointment will be effective from either April 1st or September 1st of 2016.

Salary and compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience as determined by the university policy.

Rikkyo University, located in central Tokyo, is one of the oldest and highly selective private universities in Japan. Its College of Business is unique in that it is one of very few fully fledged bilingual (Japanese and English) business programs in Japan at both the undergraduate and the graduate levels.
