1. Position title: Full Professor of International Marketing

2. Structural unit: Institute of Business Administration, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, University of Tartu.

3. Duties and responsibilities: The successful candidate will be expected to conduct research and to teach in the field of Marketing with the emphasis on International Marketing. Primary responsibilities include teaching students in Marketing, Marketing Management and International Marketing in the Master and Doctoral programs. The professor is expected to conduct research in co-operation with the staff of the Chair of Marketing and the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, but also with other universities; initiate, participate in and/or lead international research projects.

4. Work load. 40 hours per week. Class work: up to 128 academic hours for a calendar year (on the average, approximately 4 hours per week, but the schedule will be flexible).

5. Term of contract: 09/01/2010 – 08/31/2013

6. Information about the creation of the position. This is a new position created with the co-funding of The European Social Fund for hiring professors from abroad.

7. Salary. Annual gross salary will be 72 000 EUR (information about taxation). The professor will get some additional research funding from the university (for attending conferences etc.), but is also expected to apply for such funding from other sources.

8. Required qualifications. The candidate must hold a Ph.D. or other equivalent academic degree. Detailed requirements for professors. (Guidelines for evaluating candidates to positions of University of Tartu teaching and research staff, see p. 6).

9. Required experience. The candidates must have conducted inter¬nationally recognized research in this or close specialty (e.g. international marketing, marketing, marketing management, international business, international entrepreneurship) and provide proof of teaching experience. Preference is given to the candidates with better research records and experience in managing scientific and applied research projects.

10. Required language skills. The professor is expected to teach and do research in English. The candidate is not required to speak or learn Estonian or any other languages.

The University of Tartu was founded in 1632. It is a member of the Coimbra Group. The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration has about 1,400 students (including about 70 doctoral students) and 60 academic staff (some part-time).
