Position Description: The College of Business Administration at The University of Texas at El Paso is seeking qualified candidates for the Chair of the Study of Trade in the Americas. The individual selected is expected to provide innovative leadership in research and education related to one or more of the following business areas: entrepreneurship, small business management, and trade in the Americas. In addition, the individual is expected to add to and further develop the national reputation of the Department, College, and University in research leading to top publications in his or her field. We are primarily interested in receiving applications from candidates who hold Ph.D. degrees from AACSB-accredited institutions in the general field of management, although those who hold degrees in other business disciplines are also encouraged to apply. The anticipated starting date will be fall 2010.

Qualifications: The position is at the Full Professor level and requires (1) a Ph.D. degree in business with research emphasis in any or all of the areas outlined above; (2) a distinguished record of publications in top peer-reviewed journals; and (3) a proven ability to work across disciplines and to lead collaborative efforts with other departments, colleges, outside organizations, agencies, and the regional and international business community at large.
