Profile: full-time professor position in the field of economics and management science participating in the supervision of students (teaching, supervision of undergraduate and Ph.D. students) and in the research activities of the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management. The candidate will be expected to have scientific expertise in the field of Strategy certified by publications in high quality international journals.
The applicant will be fluent in English and will contribute to the international visibility, both scientific and academic, of the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB). Knowledge of French is a plus.

Description of the educational and scientific objectives: According to the candidate’s profile, the courses will cover strategic management, corporate strategy, internationalization strategy, the strategic management of change, and strategy consultancy. It will involve the supervision of strategy seminars in the Master’s programme. Preference will be given to a candidate with a European specialization and practical experience (consultancy, etc.) and / or teaching experience in the field of strategy.

This position includes a strong research dimension. From a teaching point of view, case studies should be privileged as well as the development of innovative approaches. As some courses will be accessible to students of the Master in Business and Economics, knowledge of methods of industrial economics applied to strategic management will also be an asset.

The SBS-EM will give preference to a young candidate with high potential, who will commit herself/himself to the development of a research team.

The content of the teaching load will be regularly updated.

The position involves an initial 3 to 5 year trial period.
