The Department of Strategy, Organization and Leadership at EBS is seeking to appoint two new faculty members (rank open) in the following areas:
International Strategy
Competitive Strategy

One of these positions will be filled by an experienced candidate at an associate or senior professor level. The other position will be filled by an assistant professor. (While applying, candidates are requested to indicate the position and rank they are applying for).

Requirements
For both positions, a doctoral degree with a specialization in strategy from a leading university or business school is required. For the position at the more advanced level, exceptional scholars with a demonstrated track record of published research and teaching in the area of strategy are sought. For the position at the assistant professor level, a clear evidence of potential for teaching and research is expected. For the position in competitive strategy, we are particularly interested in candidates with a sound background in economics (market structure, industry analysis, game-theoretic approaches to strategy, etc.). The position in international strategy is open to candidates from more diverse disciplinary backgrounds. International experience is a must for the position in International Strategy, and is also important for the position in Competitive Strategy. The new faculty members are expected to contribute strongly to the department’s programme in research and teaching. There are also opportunities for executive education. The new faculty members are expected to join by autumn 2010.

About the Department
The Department of Strategy, Organization and Leadership at EBS offers a vibrant and collaborative research environment. Core and adjunct members of the department come from internationally renowned schools (e.g., London School of Economics, Indian Institute of Management), have published in top journals in the management field (Academy of Management Journal, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Management, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Strategic Management Journal, etc.) and are active in the international academic community through their membership in the editorial boards of leading journals and leadership roles in the Academy of Management and other organizations.
