University of North Carolina at Greensboro
Applications are invited for a tenure-track position at the assistant, associate or (tenured) professor level with specialization in Marketing. The desired candidate will have broad teaching and research interests, with an emphasis on principles of marketing, marketing research, and international marketing. An orientation toward experiential learning would be a plus. A Ph.D. degree with a specialization in Marketing is required.
The Department of Business Administration
The Department of Business Administration consists of 24 full-time faculty and offers B.S. degrees in Entrepreneurship, Marketing, and Business Administration with concentrations in human resources and business studies. The department also services a school-wide MBA Program and joint MBA programs with Nursing and Gerontology. A high priority of the department and school is developing entrepreneurship programming that compliments existing departmental, school and university programs.
The University
The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, one of the sixteen campuses in the University of North Carolina system, is a high research activity, doctorate-granting university with over 18,000 students in the College of Arts and Sciences and six professional schools (Business and Economics, Education, Health and Human Performance, Human Environmental Sciences, Music and Nursing). It has one of the most ethnically and racially diverse student populations of any campus in the system. Greensboro is a city of about 220,000 in the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina near the Research Triangle and other major educational institutions.
The Community
Greensboro is a beautiful, thriving, and civic-minded city with its own Symphony Orchestra, Community Theater, Opera Company, Civic Ballet, and many outstanding public and private recreation areas and facilities. Greensboro is located in the Piedmont Triad an area of great natural beauty, diverse industry, cultural arts, and mild temperatures. North Carolina’s mountain resorts are an easy two-hour drive from Greensboro and the beaches of North and South Carolina are three to four hours away.
