International Business Position Number 22017
Applications are invited for a tenure-track position in International Business in the I. H. Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The appointment start date is July 1, 2017. The budget for this position has been approved. Candidates must have completed or be close to completing a Ph.D. in international business or a closely-related field. Candidate’s research should fall into International Strategy, and s/he should have a strong record of publication or a promising research agenda related to International Business as well as, teaching experience or interest in these areas. Preference will be given to candidates who can also satisfy additional teaching needs of Department of Business Administration.
Duties include research, teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels, and providing professional service for the School, the University, and the community. The normal teaching load at the Asper school is four courses (e.g., 2 + 2). Salary is competitive and will depend on qualifications and experience.
The I. H. Asper School of Business is the principal business school in the province of Manitoba and is accredited by AACSB. Students can major in International Business with undergraduate, MBA, M.Sc. and PhD degrees. The Asper School is a research intensive institution comprised of approximately 60 full-time faculty members publishing in leading academic journals. Substantial research funding is provided to new faculty members as is a fully paid six-month sabbatical after three years. The School is located in a modern facility overlooking the Red River.
