Positions are available for candidates at all ranks beginning in February 2011or earlier. Successful candidates, once hired, are expected to fulfill their respective Department’s requirements with regard to teaching, research, record of publications, and service to the institution. Junior candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. at the time of appointment. All candidates should have an excellent command of English and a strong commitment to teaching and research.

Istanbul Þehir University (ÞEHÝR) is a newly founded, private institution under the cover of the Foundation for Sciences and Arts based in Istanbul, Turkey, which has been dedicated to research and teaching in social sciences and humanities for the last 25 years. Building on a quarter-century of experience in education and research, ÞEHÝR aims to be an elite research university in the whole region. The medium of instruction is English. The main campus will be located in Dragos, Istanbul, on the shores of the Marmara Sea, overlooking the beautiful Princess Islands.
