The mission of the Zimbabwe Ministry of Industry and Commerce is to promote the development of vibrant, sustainable, and globally competitive industrial and commercial enterprises. The ministry also aims to uphold fair trade practices through the provision of conducive policy and regulatory frameworks. The ministry accomplishes these goals through several functions, including formulating, implementing, coordinating, reviewing, and monitoring policies in industry and commerce, as well as by enhancing the development and promotion of quality standards for industrial products.
