Deakin Business School (DBS) has an opening at the Professor/Associate Professor level in entrepreneurship/strategy starting in 2017.

The Deakin Business School comprises six academic departments focusing on a comprehensive range of business and economic disciplines: accounting, economics, finance, information systems and business analytics, management, and marketing.

DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT

The Department of Management comprises 45 academic staff with research and teaching strengths that span several core sub-disciplines: organisational behavior, leadership, management education, human resource management and industrial relations, international business, strategy, arts and cultural management and sport management. Staff in the department have research expertise in all the areas above and contribute in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching with significant contributions in the highly ranked online MBA program. The Department has undergone a period of renewal and is now looking for an outstanding scholar in the entrepreneurship / strategy area.

The successful candidate will provide outstanding academic leadership and scholarship in the development of teaching, research and community engagement activities in the entrepreneurship/strategy area.  S/he will contribute to the promotion, nationally and internationally, of the Department’s distinctive contribution to higher education and engage in research of the highest quality, evidenced by an exemplary research record in journal publications, the generation of competitive research income and supervision of higher degree

APPOINTMENT CONDITIONS AND REMUNERATION

The appointment will be made to tenured Professor or Associate Professor position.  Appointment will be subject to a probationary period of (3) three years.

An attractive remuneration package is offered. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience and research record.

Relocation support may also be available.
