Richard Ivey School of Business
The Richard Ivey School of Business is recognized worldwide for the quality of its management education and research. The School’s major activities include: highly regarded MBA and undergraduate programs; a well established doctoral program active in most major areas of management; a new MSc in Business program with a major in International Business; as well as a portfolio of programs for executives, including an Executive MBA delivered in Canada and Hong Kong.
The School is internationally oriented in terms of curricula, research, faculty, and students. The School is located in London, Ontario, a community of 340,000 equidistant from Toronto and Detroit. The Canadian Executive MBA facilities are located at the Exchange Tower in downtown Toronto. The Asia campus is located at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. The School is part of a larger University community with approximately 33,000 full-time students.
The School seeks candidates for a probationary (tenure-track) Assistant Professor or tenured Associate or Professor appointment in International Business. The position is available to begin July 2012. Candidates should have a Ph.D. or be very close to completion. The successful candidate will have demonstrated a strong commitment to the practice of management in both research and teaching.
The successful candidate’s teaching/research will be in international strategy, or a closely related area. A strong and active research record in international business is required. The ability to teach International Business courses is essential. Teaching experience is highly valued, particularly with case studies. Non-tenured Limited Term or Visiting appointments will also be considered. The position is subject to budget approval. Applicants should have fluent written and oral communication skills in English.
