The Organization and Entrepreneurship Area at the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business and College of Business Administration, University of Pittsburgh, seeks candidates to fill a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor position starting in Fall, 2018. We welcome applications from scholars in strategy and/ or entrepreneurship, with a focus on innovation. Individuals whose research includes the healthcare setting are especially encouraged to apply.

The Katz MBA is consistently ranked among the top 25 U.S. public programs, and the School and the College of Business Administration house several other strong masters and undergraduate business programs. The Katz PhD program is well regarded across all disciplines, including in Strategy. The University of Pittsburgh maintains a strong research profile, with over $760 million in federally funded research annually. We are embedded in a thriving business community which has experienced significant technology innovation and entrepreneurship activity in the last decade.  Pittsburgh is also an attractive metropolitan area in which to live, with an active arts and restaurant culture befitting a much larger city.  

The appointment requires a strong commitment to excellence in scholarly research. Candidates are required to have completed PhDs prior to Fall 2018.
